How Muswellbrook High School is inspiring excellence
Creative excellence, outstanding achievements
Students are encouraged to discover their creative talents, express themselves and achieve excellence through our vibrant Creative and Performing Arts program. From ensembles and productions to community performances, students build confidence, creativity and collaboration skills. Outstanding HSC achievements and prestigious OnSTAGE recognition demonstrate the opportunities for students to develop their talents and excel on stage and beyond.
High expectations, opportunities to excel
At Muswellbrook High School, every student is encouraged to challenge themselves, develop their strengths and achieve their personal best. Through High potential and gifted education (HPGE), Challenge and Choice, the HunterWiSE STEM Program and Year 7 Sporting Excellence, students explore their interests, extend their abilities and build the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed.
Personalised pathways, brighter futures
Every student is supported to explore their interests and build a pathway towards their future. Through the Educational Pathways Program, students access school-based apprenticeships and traineeships (SBATs), TAFE courses and industry opportunities. Big Picture Learning provides personalised learning experiences and real-world internships, empowering students to take ownership of their education, develop practical skills and pursue their goals beyond school.
Relieving Principal's message

As Relieving Principal, I am privileged to lead a dedicated team of educators who work together to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment. We value student voice and agency, encouraging our young people to be active participants in their education, embrace challenges and pursue pathways that reflect their individual strengths, interests and aspirations.
We recognise that success looks different for every student. Whether in the classroom, on the sporting field, through creative and cultural pursuits or in our broader community, we celebrate achievement, personal growth and the contributions of every learner.
Our motto, Striving for Excellence in a School that Cares, is more than a statement. It reflects our shared commitment to excellence, opportunity and genuine care for every student.
